The first proper teaser of the Lous Leterrier/Edwart Norton reboot of The Incredible Hulk never really saw much love among film geeks. Perhaps it was the way it built up to a climactic battle scene that seemed entirely unoriginal, or Edward Norton's stilted dialog, or perhaps, just maybe, it was the fact that the movie had very little reason for existing at all.
I'm assuming it was a combination of all of those reasons.
But fear not Hulk fans -- the new trailer kicks all sorts of ass, and looks like it may easily wipe our collective memory clean of the overly-dramatic Ang Lee Hulk. Leterrier seems to infuse the picture with the sort of kinetic energy he displayed so well in The Transporter films and Unleashed/Danny the Dog, and Norton seems to fit into the role much more comfortably than in the previous trailer. I also dig the fact that they're mining the lonely wanderer theme from the TV series, while at the same time not shying away from kicking ass.
Somehow I think that's the priority for a character with the known catch-phrase "HULK SMASH".
Movie hits June 13. Color me green with excitement. You can view it in high-definition at Apple's site, or embedded below.
